I'm sitting here, listening to hellcat records youtube channel, there's Civet, Nekromantix and the like... then THIS happens.. Danny Diablo
I don't even know what to say, I like it.. but then again I don't.. It's like someone stuffed a 426 Hemi into a RR Silver Shadow 2..

I don't, to be quite honest. And I like some rap.
Diablo used to call himself Lord Ezec when he played in the NYHC band Crown of Thornz (I do recommend their singular album
Mentally Vexed
to anyone into '90s hardcore punk). Later he was arrested for something and went full thug style (he even calls his music "thugcore").
If you're looking for "heavy rap" (sorry for the lack of a better word) then some of Necro's catalog (especially his work with John Tardy) may be of your interest. Necro used to play bass guitar for the short-lived NYDM band Injustice.

I KNEW I had seen that bloke somewhere, I know about Crown of Thornz.
As I said, I like it.. but not.. I think the concept is sound, but it does not work for this bloke. I guess I'll find me some Necro then (my god how wrong it feels to write that).

These are my favourite tracks by him. Do note that most of the instruments are from guest members.

Here's the progression: any punk band -> Rancid -> Transplants (Tim Armstrong, Travis Barker side project with Skinhead Rob — their roadie — rapping, along with a bunch of guest appearances) -> Danny Diablo
And the Garnier Fructis commercial (which is a song about smuggling conflict diamonds)

In my early 20s I really liked the transplants. So much so that I got their logo tattooed on my forearm:
I don't regret it because it's still kind of badass
*edit*
And yes, that's a Sick of it All dragon closer to my wrist

I've never got to the point that I've had a tattoo, mostly because I'm a pussy ;) But one should NEVER regret a tattoo, it's a part of your life. And the Transplants was kinda awesome.
